The (e)Grommet is better known offline as Glyn Mottershead, a professional tutor in digital journalism at The Centre for Journalism (the practical side) at the School of Journalism, Media and Cultural Studies at Cardiff University.
The name (e)Grommet came about after a conversation about surfing newbies (aka grommets) with a pal (ta Spen), while trying to get to grips with social media as part of a MSc in elearning – learning to surf the web again is essentially the meaning behind the name.
